Dr. James Tallon, professor of history at Lewis University, recently published a book chapter titled “International Actors Intervening in a Local War: The Long World War I of the Eastern Mediterranean, 1911–23.” The chapter appears in the edited volume “Boundaries of War: Local and Global Perspectives in Military History,” published by Marine Corps University Press.
Dr. Tallon’s chapter explores the complex interplay of international forces in the Eastern Mediterranean during the early 20th century, a period often overshadowed by the larger events of World War I. His research sheds light on the local conflicts and the involvement of various global powers in the region.
This publication marks another milestone in Dr. Tallon’s ongoing research, which focuses on the intersection of local and global dynamics in historical conflicts. He is currently working on a larger project related to this topic, expected to be published within the next year.
