Dr. Dennis H. Cremin, professor of history, discussedthe newly published paperback edition of his book “Grant Park: The Evolution of Chicago Yard“on September 10 at the Southern Illinois University Press exhibitor booth at Chicago’s Printers Row Lit Fest. Itis the largest free outdoor literary showcase in the Midwest.
Cremin showcased his book alongside two other authors. Libby Hillwho wrote “The Chicago River: A Natural and Unnatural History” andSean Farrell, who co-authored withMathieu W. Billings“The Irish in Illinois”.
“It was great to be engaged with readers! Libby Hill, Sean Farrell, and I signed books, answered questions, and enjoyed learning more about each other’s work. Sean teaches at NIU. He consulted with Eileen McMahon, who just retired from Lewis University. It was great energy to be with readers, authors and publishers at the Printers Row Lit Fest,” Cremin said.
